Great Product
I should have bought one of these years ago! It is totally accurate and easy to use.
This is Excellent
High quality, accurate, easy to use, durable, compact. Some reviewers complain about the stand being in the way but it is handy and very practical; take it off if you don't like it. I can't imagine there being a better, more convenient measuring wheel, and at such a low price, and free shipping. Highly recommended!
Best one I have used
I have used 3 different types of wheel in my Real Estate Career. The first was a small wheel measurer, which was ok for use on concrete, and not so much on rough surfaces. The second I purchased was a large wheel like this one, and it worked for about 2 years, but was problematic the whole time I had it. The reset button on it never seemed to work right until one day it just broke and wouldnt reset it at all. I finally purchased quality, and even for a decent price. The Keson measuring wheel seems to be very good quality. #1 it has a contoured handle, so your wrist doesnt get tired after extensive use. #2, it has a locking extension rod, which cant slip, and seems to be very good. #3, the reset button seems to work very well, and doesnt get stuck, and is very easy to see and use. #4, it has a nifty kickstand, which I have found I use all the time. It even can be used in rough, or rocky situations, unlike another posting which said you couldnt. I have been very impressed with this tool since I purchased it! I measure properties for a living, ranging from vacant land (5300 acres) to small 1/8 acre lots with small homes. I measure square footage, and land area. I measure between 5 to 35 properties per month, and I am constantly using it. If anyone would know about a wheel, and the quality of one, it would be me. Take my word for it, as of now... I believe Keson to be a good quality tool for many different uses. TA
Excellent wheel with stand
Purchased this wheel for laying out utilities and boundry marking/locating. Most of the use has been gravel roads, woods, and some thick brush use. The whell is excellent for all but the thick brush use. The stand is most handy allowing me to stop and note my map or survey, was even able to use it on a hilly lot the other day and the stand still worked well. Also of note is the handle which is collapsable for storage and height adjustable (I'm 5'10 maybe 6ft in boots and it was comfortable). All and all an excellent whell and a steal thru Amazon at around $50.
Does the job well
This measuring wheel works better than others I've used with smaller wheels. It seems to be very accurate. And it is easy to roll over whatever terrain and not worry about the wheel getting caught or not turning. What I might say are downsides, the wheel moves so freely that if you pick it up for whatever reason the wheel will continue to spin and therefore measure. Seems silly but its almost like it needs a "brake". You can push down the counter with your foot to reset, but its easier to do with your hand. But if you bring the wheel to you as opposed to bending over, you have to be careful that the wheel doesn't spin when you are setting it down. Counter is easy enough to read, but would be even better if the numbers were bigger. And kickstand works somewhat ok but really needs to be on a flat surface or it will still fall over. Overall its a good purchase.
