Product Description
Using advanced engineering methods and the highest-quality materials, PureAV Component Video Cables isolate your signal from interference to deliver brighter, more accurate colors and sharper detail from your components. The ideal solution for HDTV and progressive-scan DVD players, Component Video separates color into its primary components using three cables to transmit three distinct signals. This provides brighter, more accurate colors and sharper detail, exceeding the performance of Composite and S-Video.
Wow!
Outstanding quality cable for under $10! Local Walmart cables for the same price locally are much inferior to this cable.
I'd buy again
The length is nice, not too long or short. The picture came out great and they seem well made. My only trouble was the struggle to push them onto the outputs. Whether that's the cabling's or the video player's fault, I don't know. Once on, I was sure they would never come out if I moved items around. So maybe it was a good thing.
Not so good
I purchased the cable because I heard that the video using component cable is better than S video. However, to my disapointment, I found the video better on S video than component cable. It could the cable, I do not know!!.
Great quality, good packaging etc.
I recently bought a Blu-Ray player for a relative that has yet to upgrade to an HDMI capable TV. Being such, I purchased this component cable to use on their TV. It really looks, feels and transmits like a quality product. I know this is a small detail, but I was happy with the packaging as well. I have purchased cheap HDMI cables from Amazon and they do not come in any sort of package. This item came in a plastic blister pack just like you would purchase from a store. This is great if you are buying these as a gift (or as part of a gift like in my case). My only complaint is, I really wished Belkin offered this product as a Component Video/Audio cable and included similar quality audio cables, or even an option for an optical audio cable to be included for an additional amount. Being that it didn't have these options, I had to order that separately!
you don't need more than this
I bought a new 42-inch Samsung LCD TV and hooked it up with my DVD player using the composite cable...looked like crap. So I bought the Belkin and now i get the 480p, which is the maximum you can get out of a regular DVD. If you don't have a Blue-ray player, you DON'T need more than this cable.
