I really like the idea of a PowerSquid, that is not wasting outlets on a surge protector with large adapters covering two slots, but this particular model is MUCH bigger than you think it would be. Heed the note in the product description that notes this is a "ShopLogic" product -- it belongs in the garage or basement workshop. The product does work as advertised... it's just really big.

I picked up three or four of these from a previous deal and have not been disappointed. These "squids" provide flexibility for plugging stuff in without being constrained to the "strip" - the surge protection makes it all the more sweeter. Highly recommended!

This item works very well and I purchased it because not all things have the same size plug and can sit side by side on a power strip without crowding. I purchased one of these years ago and they made this one better it seems. The price was good and I can use it for all my computer items in one outlet.

I purchased hundreds of these and plugged them all into each other. It created a black hole. The neighbors got really upset. Especially when the creatures from the other dimension started using their lawn as a toilet.

This is the answer; to powering all those peripheral's power adapters, especially for your computer. Whoever designs the peripheral power adapters seems to think that their products power is the only one that is important. I hate using a standard surge protector and have only 3 or 4 things plugged in, because some bonehead's plug-in takes up 2 places on the strip. This squid works well for those situations.
