Salamander Synergy - Saturn Wheel Set (6 Pack)

Saturn Wheels are shapely but strong aluminum casters that allow you to move a Synergy unit easily whenever the need arises. They lock securely when your furniture is in place. Saturn Wheels are available in sets of four or six to fit any Synergy System.

I swap AV gear in and out 8-10 times a year as part of my work, so I wanted to be able to get into my Salamander rack easily (a 3 high Twin unit). This allows me to do that, and the locking feature is very nice. However, if you are on carpet they really are very ineffective, though that shouldn't come as much of a surprise. They are a bit expensive, as everything from Salamander is, but they are high quality and get the job done.

They work great. I would recommend them to people using the Salamander system, as these systems are heavy especially when loaded. But they only get 4 stars, because these wheels are just more expensive then they should be.

I bought the Synergy 237 Maple/Silver entertainment center a few months ago. I wanted to allow enough time for actually using the product before reviewing it. Overall I am very satisfied with the stiletto feet I bought with this unit. Performance: The feet are very solid and functional. They raise the entertainment center about six inches off the floor which really comes in handy for routing cables, power supplies, etc. It also helps in being able to vacuum under the unit! Assembly: Assembly couldn't be easier. One end of the piece is drilled and threaded. It simply screws into one of the support columns that hold the entertainment center together. Price: Amazon had these discounted when I bought the salamander 237, and I picked these up around half of their normal listing price. I'm glad that I bought these rather than using the feet that were delivered with the unit.

The wheels are very helpful if you need to move the cabinet to check a wire or get to the back of the unit. Actually, I would go as far to say the cabinet would be difficult to operate without the wheels. The cabinet requires 8 wheels which adds around $150 to the price of the cabinet. It would have been nice for them to be included with the cabinet.

I cringed at spending the $80 for casters..but glad I did. They are a life saver when I move this unit or need to get behind it
