I purchased this in April 2010 and it came with a power supply problem where the tv would turn on for no reason. I was not too concerned these things do happen and Amazon was great about sending me a new one. The new one's infrared sensor went out on the TV. Now I'm getting concerned Samsung was great at QUICKLY getting service techs out to fix the problem but I have had quite a bit of trouble with this unit so far. Other than these issues the picture could not be better. I thoroughly researched the market and not only is this one of the best values it also has one of the very best pictures. I have not experienced any of the buzzing at sea level here in Houston. I paired this system up with the Samsung HT-BD1250 Blu-ray Home Theater System and I'm happy with how they communicate with each other (see review).

This upgrade was well worth the effort and expense. We live out in rural Texas on a small farm. It is about an hour drive to go see a movie so our home theater setup and satellite TV system gets a lot of use. I am somewhat of a skeptic when it comes to the latest and newest technology. I tend to wait and watch for a while before I purchase. I am a medical professional and pretty "tech savvy" but it is not my main interest in life as it may be for some. Our Sony VEGA dinosaur was one of the last of the giant CRT type TV's made. It weighs nearly 300 lbs and was purchased around 8 years ago. Its picture, while ok was noticeably dated when viewing some of my friend's newer setups that I'd seen lately. We have a PS3 Blue Ray player that the kids use for games and we all use for movies. Before our purchase I read quite a bit on the pros and cons of the different options and opted for a plasma screen as our family room is quite wide. I'd read a wide viewing angle could be a problem with the LCD type sets. I read many good things about Samsung's plasma sets but was concerned about some of the comments regarding a "buzzing" noise coming from the set. Although we purchase quite a few items on line and have always had good service from Amazon, this was the first TV, especially of this size and expense that I'd purchased online. After considerably thought I decided that the price on this model was just too good to pass up so I placed the order. We've had the TV in use now for a bit over a month and are very, very, very pleased! Again, I am not an expert but in my opion the picture on this set is incredible. We have the non-Blue Ray DVD version of the "Planet Earth" series and the new Blue Ray "Life" nature series. The combination of the amazing photography in those BBC series with this set's amazing picture will almost evoke an emotional response! The blacks are so deep and the pictures are so incredibly detailed it almost defies description. I don't watch a great deal of sports but the several Blue Ray and non-Blue Ray action movies have been equally impressive. We pump the sound through our home theater tuner so I can't comment on the sound from the TV speakers. From the moment I unpacked the set and turned it on I was very interested to see if there was any "buzzing" as was reported in some Samsung sets. I have listened very intently from many angles, close and far and can discern no buzzing whatsoever. Our set sits on a TV cabinet in the corner so it is not hanging on the wall or right against the wall but I don't think even mounting the set on the wall would cause any amplification of any "buzzing" as I've been unable to detect any at all. The remainder of the TV's features has been completely satisfactory. To say the least we are very pleased with this TV. As for my other concerns, the shipping personnel were very considerate. The truck had to come through the gate off the main paved road and come to the house which is down a gravel drive about 300 yards long. The shipper not only brought the TV up to the house, but they set it on the driveway next to the front porch so we could just push it in the front door. The instructions from the shipper were clear and they were very considerate about co-coordinating their arrival so that we could be sure to leave the gate open so they wouldn't be locked out of the farm. Overall, this purchase experience has been one of the most satisfying ones I've had when purchasing online items.

I love this TV!!!!!! The picture quality, sound,price, and look is the best. I looked and researched for several months before choosing this TV. The delivery was fast and perfect on arrival. I was not home when it was being delivered so they took it to my back enclosed porch and covered it for me. Do not be afraid to purchase this. You will be amazed. The price was extremely low for such a great product. Amazon is the place to buy.

I bought this PN58B560 on 23 March last year. Out the door from a local dealer for $2500. I wish I had bought it from Amazon. It has served me well until about February this year when a horizontal black line appeared dividing the screen into a top and bottom half. It went away for a while. In early March, I bought a docking station for a Zune and connected it to the TV via an HDMI cable. The horizontal line reappeared. Drat! I disconnected the docking station, but the line persisted. I called the dealer. He said to call Samsung. I did. When the dealer delivered the TV, they neglected to record the serial number. When I called Samsung, they insisted on it. I got a friend to help me move it to a position where he could read the serial number to me. I called Samsung with the serial number. This is now late April. They said they would contact my local repair facility. Sure enough, I got a call from them to say they had ordered the part and would contact me when it arrived. Three days ago, the repair company called to schedule their guy. He showed up with essentially the guts of the system. He expertly disassembled the TV and replaced the screen with a bunch of circuit boards with a new one. He was finished in an hour, a very competent showing. He advised me to leave the TV on for 3 days. If something is going to fail, it would fail then. The takeaway from this experience is that Samsung stands behind their product even though I was slightly out of warranty when I called. I will confidently buy another Samsung product. The other thing is that buyers should leave their new units on for 3 days. Most retailers have a 30-day warranty. High five for Samsung.

Ordered TV with free shipping, at check out it said if I would have paid 84.00 for shipping I could have got it by that Friday, (ordered on a Monday). Selected free shipping and the tv didn't even ship until after I would have got it if I'd paid for shipping. TV is awesome though. Next time I'll pay for shipping.
