Tripp Lite's 10ft HDMI - HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) cable allows interconnection between digital display devices, such as DTV's (Digital Television), Plasma displays, LCD TV's, and projectors, to Digital source devices, such as Digital Set-Top boxes, DVD/DVD-R players, and AV receivers. HDMI assures that the best video signal is always sent from source (HDTV signal, DVD Player... .) to the display (Projection Television or Plasma). It does this by allowing uncompressed video and multi-channel audio data to be input to the display device through one single cable. The need for multiple analog connections for high-resolution audio and video are eliminated. Without a HDMI connection, one would need 3 video connections for high definition video and 6 audio connections for high-resolution audio. An HDMI connection allows input at high rates of speed, up to 5 Gbps. This leaves a lot of spare capacity for future applications; for example, a current uncompressed HD movie "only" requires 2.2 Gbps for both video and multi-channel audio.

I had to remove this cable in favor of another -- added visible noise to 1080p signal. I used to in front of a 50' to reach my receiver after I moved it a little further away. (I have an HDMI extender/amplifier at the other end.)

don't go to best buy and pay $60 for a cable that you get for less and works that is the same!

I recently purchased a TV at the same time I bought Tripp Lite 10FT HDMI to HDMI Gold Digital Video Cable ( P568-010 ), and the picture quality is very vivid and clear. Save your Money you don't need expensive cables with ultra gold plating and high fibers and what not they try to sell you. The construction seems very good and cables pretty thick rubber design, and seems like they were built to last. Also backed by lifetime warranty.

Fine color sharpness, very useable length cable, and unable to see any video or sound difference from cables costing 10 times as much.

I can't tell a difference between these and the name brand wires; however, I have only had them for 2 weeks so I don't know about their build quality yet. I don't think I will have any problems, and if I do they were only $10.00. I am about to buy more. Great Wires.
