This thing does what it is meant to do. The picture looks great on my 46 inch. I have no sound but that is because my 8800gt does not pass sound. Most 8800gt cards dont, some 9800gt do, I suggest you contact the card maker. IMPORTANT: this may look different than the pictured item. Mine looks almost like it is a male hdmi but somehow it does fit with the regular HDMI cable.

works great. No problems. Don't listen to the Debbie Downers. (wah wahhh) Does exactly what it is supposed to do.

It works fine, plugged it into the second spot on the video card, plugged in the hdmi cable, set up the TV as a second monitor and the signal is clean and bright.

This is a good DVI-to-HDMI converter that I'm currently using to connect a MacBook to a 720p HDTV through another adapter (mini-DVI-to-DVI). This adaptor suits that purpose well and displays the image as expected. I was a bit concerned to see that one of the pins on the male DVI side was shorter than the others, but so far that doesn't seem to have caused any problems with the signal. Also, the physical connections on both the male DVI and female HDMI sides are very tight; I have to give an abnormal extra amount of force to join the adapter to my computer and my HDMI cable. I was initially worried that the extra force might cause some damage, but so far everything appears to be fine. For the price, this adapter is an amazing deal. Although it doesn't seem to have been manufactured entirely correctly, this adapter does perform as expected and provides a great digital video signal.

I bought this converter once, e-mailed three times to tell them I hadn't received it, but after three weeks they sent another one. I guess I'm happy with the service, but it took a long time to get it. My computer dvi looks great through the hdmi cable in 1080p. No complaints, just wish it had come sooner.
