Flawless
This TV is simply flawless. In regard to the "odor" issue mentioned in a review a while ago, that absolutely did not occurred with ours. Of course you get that "New TV" smell which is completely normal, but there was never an unpleasant olfactory situation. Also, in regard to the LCD ghost blur situation mentioned in other reviews, it only occurs in very rare circumstances where the lighting and color in a particular scene is extremely muted and dim. And even then it's only when a certain color temperature is very subdued and nondescript. It's hard to describe it in words, but of the hundreds of Blu-Ray movies and standard shows we've watched so far, I've only seen it happen twice, and even then, it was for just a split second or so. You'd never notice it if you weren't specifically looking to see it. The sound from the built in speakers is surprisingly good. It's nice NOT having to activate our entire home theater sound system in order to merely watch regular television broadcasts. Overall, we're completely satisfied. Great picture, stunning color and contrast, and definitely worth every penny.
Motion Blur
I am getting ready to purchase this TV. My only concern is Motion Blurring since this is only a 60 HRZ. set. Has anyone had any problems of motion blurring? I would really appreciate any feedback on this problem good or bad. Thank you Steve
So Far So Good
I am happy with this unit. Excellent HD. You won't regret. I have had it for almost a month. No smell as reported by some reviewers. By the way, I love amazon.com too. The price dropped over $200 a few days after I received the TV and amazon.com gave me a refund of the price differece -- they said this was a one time deal though.
65" Sharp Aquos LCD
We just bought a house and my husband just had to get the biggest LCD he could find as a housewarming gift to himself. The appearance is great and on a big empty wall it doesn't overpower the room. The picture is nice but we find ourselves adjusting it from time to time depending on what we are watching. We do have a lot of natural light that comes in though and I am certain this has an effect. At night, with the light dimmed it has an awesome picture.
The picture is unbelievable
Great TV or should I say a movie theatre in my house! Heavy - I used extra bolts and hung it on my fireplace. Sound is pretty good too - don't sit to close with standard tv as you will see how bad standard tv is. It's amazing with blueray or HDTV - you find yourself lookingat things like the detail on football helmets that you could never see before, and basketball games are like being at the arena!
