On this page you have two choices. A Monster 2m HDMI cable for $129, or a no-name brand 2m HDMI cable for $1.29. They're almost the exact same cable, and will serve the needs of pretty much anything that needs to be passed over HDMI. And the cheaper cable is 1% of the price of the overpriced Monster. Monster tries to tell you that their 100x more expensive cable is future proof for whatever the next step is in the HDMI evolution. Who cares? That application has not been invented yet, and when someone makes a newer, faster application that demands more from your HDMI cable, you can get rid of the $1.29 cable and buy whatever the newer, cheaper cable is. Don't waste $129 on an overprice, overbranded cable from a bunch of jerks who constantly fleece foolish audiophiles. HDMI is a digital standard with forward error correction. That means any cable, even the cheapest one, will happily pass the original digital signal along exactly, and if any minor errors creep in, they'll be automatically corrected by the encoding. The Monster HDMI cable is a total ripoff, and it offends me.

These cables are overpriced, get the cheapest HDMI you can find and it will work just as well.

These cable literally cost $2 and are shipped over from China. These cables are also not noticeably better than any other brand. All you are paying for is an image of superior quality. I used to work at Best Buy, we pushed these things hard because they cost us 6 dollars and we sold them for $90. Seriously save yourself some money these are good products but you can get the EXACT same thing for $10 anywhere else online.

It's simply unbelievable that anyone would pay this much for a brand name. The cable works as well as any generic cable works, and no better.

I bought this for a friend who wanted the best and brightest HDMI cable for his HT system. He said to me he clearly wanted Monster Cables, price is no object. So I pick this baby out for him. Install every thing and works like a dream. His son, a tech savy gamer, walks in, puts in his ps3 into the system. It looks great! The kid, seeing the new 'ultra' HDMI cable, proceeds to take the cable from the STB-TV and puts it into his PS3. The difference? nothing. The cheap 10 dollar HDMI cable looks the exact same as the 100 dollar one. Waste of cash guys.
