Forget the terrible layout, labeling and location of buttons. Forget the fact that the cover won't close if the mic stands are in place. Forget the lack of any type of anti-skip technology. The overall quality of the machine is OK. I had a hard enough time finding a CD player that DID NOT include a radio tuner and my daughter loves to sing so the karaoke is a nice bonus. Sanrio should be ashamed of selling this player WITHOUT an AC adaptor. There is alway a fair amount of "batteries not included" at Christmas, but a even your basic $12 CD player includes a AC adaptor. I now have to search the electronics store for a plug that will match so my daughters Cars soundtrack doesn't drain my bank account and continue to fill the landfill with dead batteries.

Santa brought hello kitty this past christmas. Hello Kitty is my daughter's favorite. It was going to be the best gift ever - instead it was her greatest disappointment. The mikes, music and lights were going to be amazing. The one santa brought never worked so we contacted target and they sent a new one. Well that worked maybe a day. We figured the drain on batteries was so great that it couldn't run for long so we bought an adapter - which it didn't come with (12.99). Didn't help - doesn't work so now I have 2 broken hello kitty cd players and an adapter. We spent @$105.00. including batteries and adapter for this.

I purchases this karaoke machine for my daughters' 5th birthday. I gave it to her first thing this morning only to be very disappointed and sad to find out that it too, like the other two people that purchased and reviewed it, didn't work. The CDs didn't even turn around. The microphones worked. My daughter was very sad that we had to return it. I think that it should be recalled. I purchased it at Toys R Us and they took it right back without any problem. I wish I had opened it to make sure it worked after I read those reviews.

My 4 yr old received this as a B-day gift. I was worried after reading these reviews but it has worked great. The microphone cords are too short and the speakers are a little weak but it is a good toy for a little girl who likes to sing. It does burn up batteries fast! As a whole I like this machine and think is great for young girls who do not need a sophisticated machine.

Apart from the money part, imagine the dis-appointment happening to the kids if the product doesn't work at the first sight....?? Ok, moreover when tried to return it, there is no acknowledgement nor any response back regarding the refund. Why is it being sold again, if the product is defective?? Please stop selling the product and take a closer look at the product review before selling it again, it is really annoying when things like this happens. Please rectify. It is also disapointing when we cannot talk to a customer service personnel over the phone.
